Stranded Colorwork Knitting

In this two part series, students will gain an introductory knowledge of stranded colorwork knitting while completing the Alpine Bloom Hat by Caitlyn Hunter.

Required materials:

• Alpine Bloom Hat by Caitlyn Hunter (pattern can be found on Ravelry or on the designer's website)
• 2 skeins of sport weight yarn (one main color and one contrasting color)
• 16" circular knitting needles in US 3 and US 5 (or size to obtain gauge)
• Double pointed needles in US 5 (or size to obtain gauge)

Prerequisite skills:

• Cast-on, knit, purl, work in the round, and decrease stitches.
