Coffee Cozy Series with Ashley Spencer

The Coffee Cozy Series is a six-part class featuring knitting techniques beyond the basics. Students will learn new techniques during each class while making a coffee cozy. Each class is listed individually so students can choose any or all of the offerings. See below for session details. Age 16+ for all sessions.

Session 1 – Magic Loop Knitting and Stripes

Students will learn to knit small circumferences in the round using the magic loop method and to change yarn colors while knitting to create stripes. All materials provided.

Prerequisites: Advanced Beginner - Students must be able to cast-on, knit, purl, and bind-off.

Session 2 – Cables

Students will learn to knit cables with a written pattern and cable charts. All materials provided.

Prerequisites: Advanced Beginner - Students must be able to follow a written pattern, cast-on, work in the round, knit, purl, and bind-off.

Session 3 – Lace

Learn to knit lace with a written pattern and lace charts. All materials provided.

Prerequisites: Advanced Beginner - Students must be able to follow a written pattern, cast-on, work in the round, knit, purl, and bind-off.

Session 4 – Mosaic Knitting

Learn to work with two yarn colors using mosaic knitting. All materials provided.

Prerequisites: Advanced Beginner - Students must be able to follow a written pattern, cast-on, work in the round, knit, purl, and bind-off.

Session 5 – Stranded Colorwork

Wednesday, November 27, 2024

6pm-8pm

Learn to work with two yarns simultaneously to create colorwork patterns and read colorwork charts. All materials provided.

Prerequisites: Intermediate Knitter - Students must be able to follow a written pattern, cast-on, work in the round, manage two balls of yarn, knit, purl, and bind-off.

Session 6 – Brioche

Learn two color brioche knitting in the round. All materials provided.
